After reading the book, Lin-Manuel Miranda decided that it was time that the life of Alexander Hamilton should be brought before a larger audience. He then wrote the book, lyrics and music for a stage production which would go on to win multiple prestigious awards, including the Tony Awards. At present, Hamilton is being staged at Minneapolis’s Orpheum Theatre.

Plot
The musical describes the story of Alexander Hamilton. From his Caribbean roots, Alexander Hamilton, an illegitimate child of a Scottish nobleman, rises to become George Washington’s right-hand man. Hamilton, a sung and rapped-through musical is divided into Act I and Act II highlighting Hamilton’s childhood, the revolutionary war, the battle of Yorktown and post war events.
