Dear Evan Hansen: A Creative Masterpiece

Dear Evan Hansen is the creative genius of three highly talented individuals BenjPasek, Justin Paul and Steven Levenson. The score of this show is composed by Pasek while Paul wrote the lyrics and Levenson penned down the book. This two-act musical debuted at the Arena Stage in Washington D.C. on July 10, 2015. It ran successfully there till August 23rd. Directed by Michael Grief, the show turned out to be a big hit, earning the approval of the theatergoers. Considering by the amount of success the show received, it was decided to give this musical its Off-Broadway debut and on March 26, 2016, it was staged at the Second Stage Theatre. The musical tasted even more success, winning an Outer Critics Circle Award for, ‘Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical.’

Opening on Broadway

On December 4, 2016, Dear Evan Hansen made its Broadway premiere and was performed at the Music Box Theatre. The show made huge headlines and collected rave reviews from the critics. On top of that, it went on to win six Tony Awards. The show has since gone on to stage in almost every major venue across the world.
