Dancing with the Stars is based on the British television show, 'Strictly Come Dancing.' Directed by Phil Heyes, the show made its premier on ABC in June of 2005. It is hosted by Lisa Canning, Tom Bergeron, Erin Andrews, Samantha Harris and Brooke Burke-Charvet. The series is currently being executively produced by Ashley Joe Sungkur, Edens-Shaffer, Rob Wade, David Ruskey and Andrew Llinares.

Together, the couple will competing with other couples for the judges' points and audience votes by performing predetermined dances. The couple that receives the lowest of audience votes and judges points are eliminated every week until one pair remains who are then crowned the champion of the season.
