Daniele Finzi Pasca is the conceptual and creative force behind this production. He has directed and created “LUZIA” and her vision is at the heart of it. It is a love-letter to Mexico, and relies on poetry and acrobatic stunts to pay tribute to the vibrant nation and the many forces that have shaped its culture. For Pasca, Mexico is a land that inspires one through its breathtaking architecture and landscapes and vibrant citizens. The culture is a mix of many influences, and each of these influences is given representation in the play. Therefore, the acrobatic performances in this show present a mosaic of various cultural influences within its dreamlike setting, so that an audience is transported to a fantastical world, but one that is not too distant from the actual setting.
