Following her divorce with Goffin, she married three more times. According to her memoir titled, “A Natural Woman”, Carole King revealed that her third husband used to physically abuse her. However, it was these struggles and hardships that brought out the real artist in her and it was in this crisis time that she found her true voice.Beautiful: The Carole King Musical includes all the hit tracks by the artist and helps the story move forward. Besides featuring Carole and Goffin's music, it also brings to the stage the astounding compositions of her close friends, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. Beautiful: The Carole King Musical is a two-time Tony Award winning musical that has achieved great success and is now on a 2017 tour. It is based on the real-life story of Carole King and will be staged at a number of venues as part of the tour, including the Ziff Opera House at The Adrienne Arsht Center, Ohio Theatre, Proctors Theatre, Ed Mirvish Theatre, and Kentucky International Convention Center.
