WWE Battleground as the name says is a pay-per-view wrestling tournament that is organized and showcased by the world’s no 1 wrestling entertainment company WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). This company is owned and operated by famous ex-wrestler and entrepreneur Vince MacMahon. WWE has been actively producing and promoting wrestling tournaments for the last two decades now. During this period WWE has received worldwide recognition for producing immensely popular events like King of the Ring, Royal Rumble, Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. Currently WWE is the largest wrestling promotion company in the world. The events are broadcasted in over 150 countries and the viewership alone in the US has crossed the 13 million mark.

WWE Battleground is relatively a new event that has been introduced by WWE. It will be taking place at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York. It hosts not just wrestling tournaments but also concerts, basketball games and ice hockey matches. WWE Battleground is planned to be a continuation of different pre-existing wrestling feuds and plots that have been popular among the viewers. The pattern will be similar to other popular matches like SmackDown and Raw. Battleground will be replacing another famous WWE event called Over the Limit which gained immense popularity and was taking place for the last three years. During 2013 WWE will be holding events like Night of Champions and Hell in a Cell.

Some latest events of WWE that have been regularly taking place are Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship. The reigning champion of Royal Rumble is John Cena, WWE Tag Champion is The Shield, WWE Divas Champion is AJ Lee, WWE Championship is Randy Orton and World Heavyweight Champion is Albert Del Rio.  

WWE Battleground is the most exhilarating wrestling tournament of the season and everyone is invited. If you want to see wrestlers like Undertaker, Triple H, Kane, John Cena, Randy Orton, AJ Lee, Dean Ambrose, The Shield and Kofi Kingston then this is the event that you need to be a part of.
