A second Brabham Cup victory followed in 2003 before an appearance in the American Conference Finals during the 2005-06 campaign.

Toledo Arena Sports Inc. acquired the franchise in the year 2007 and started work on building a new state-of-the-art sports stadium in downtown Toledo. Once that was completed and the team moved to the new place for their home games, they were renamed as the Toledo Walleye in 2009.
