The Sioux Falls Stampede is a sensational American hockey team that is located at Sioux Falls within the US State of South Dakota. This amazing one of a kind hockey team is part of the renowned US Hockey League, the USHL and was founded back in 1999. From then onwards, the Sioux Falls Stampede has made a name for itself as a group of some of the best players within the USHL. Hailing from Sioux Falls, these awesome hockey players have contributed to a team that has become one of the best known within the USHL. At present, Sioux Falls Stampede can be found playing hockey at the Sioux Falls Arena which is also located at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Sioux Falls Stampede falls into the West Division of the United States Hockey League, the USHL, and its official colours are white, black, blue and gold. At present, the team’s general manager is Kevin Hartzell who is also the team’s head coach. This fabulous USHL hockey team is a junior ice hockey team, a Tier 1 team within the USHL’s West Division with its home games played at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Sioux Falls Stampede has made and broken many records within the USHL; the first Anderson Cup Championship won by the Sioux Falls Stampede was in the 2005 to 2006 season, becoming the Best Regular Season Record ever made by this spectacular team. The Sioux Falls Stampede then went on to the playoffs, defeating the Tri-City Storm in a best of five matches game as well as the Lincoln Stars, also in a best of five matches game. This incredible franchise then went on to play for the West Division in the finals of the Clark Cup Championship within the USHL.

In the next season, the 2006 to 2007 season, the Sioux Falls Stampede had a slower start in the first half. However, by the second half, this amazing hockey franchise had made a spectacular comeback to become one of the best in the season. They proceeded with the playoffs where they defeated the Lincoln Stars in a best of seven game and the Tri-City Storm to become part of the Final Four. Facing the as yet undefeated Indiana Ice, the Sioux Falls Stampede brutally humiliated this team and went to the championship match of the Clark Cup Championships against the team that was hosting this cup, the Waterloo Black Hawks. In a sensational game, the Sioux Falls Stampede defeated the Waterloo Black Hawks with a record 3-0 win, bagging the Clark Cup Championship, their very first.

The Clark Cup Championship is to the USHL what the Super Bowl is to the NHL; for the Sioux Falls Stampede to win this awesome championship clearly shows that this is a team that has proven itself as the best within the entire United States Hockey League. At present, several former players of the Sioux Falls Stampede are playing within the NHL, the National Hockey League; these include Thomas Vanek for the Buffalo Sabres, Chad LaRose for the Carolina Hurricanes, Andreas Nödl for the Philadelphia Flyers, T.J. Oshie for the St. Louis Blues and Alex Goligoski for the Dallas Stars. With an Anderson Cup Championship and a Clark Cup Championship to their name, this is a USHL team to be seen live in action through Sioux Falls Stampede Tickets.
