The Sioux Falls Stampede is a sensational American hockey team that is located at Sioux Falls within the US State of South Dakota. In the next season, the 2006 to 2007 season, the Sioux Falls Stampede had a slower start in the first half. They proceeded with the playoffs where they defeated the Lincoln Stars in a best of seven game and the Tri-City Storm to become part of the Final Four. Facing the as yet undefeated Indiana Ice, the Sioux Falls Stampede brutally humiliated this team and went to the championship match of the Clark Cup Championships against the team that was hosting this cup, the Waterloo Black Hawks. In a sensational game, the Sioux Falls Stampede defeated the Waterloo Black Hawks with a record 3-0 win, bagging the Clark Cup Championship, their very first.

The Clark Cup Championship is to the USHL what the Super Bowl is to the NHL; for the Sioux Falls Stampede to win this awesome championship clearly shows that this is a team that has proven itself as the best within the entire United States Hockey League. At present, several former players of the Sioux Falls Stampede are playing within the NHL, the National Hockey League; these include Thomas Vanek for the Buffalo Sabres, Chad LaRose for the Carolina Hurricanes, Andreas Nödl for the Philadelphia Flyers, T.J. Oshie for the St. Louis Blues and Alex Goligoski for the Dallas Stars.
