The upcoming game will present the team, San Jose Sharks that came into existence back in 1991. Currently competing in National Hockey League’s, Western Conferences’ Pacific Division, the San Jose Sharks are owned by San Jose Sports and Entertainment Enterprises. Supporting the colors orange, black, teal and white, the team is led by head coach, Todd McLellan, general manager, Doug Wilson and captain, Joe Thornton. The team was initially named the "Blades" however; this name was dropped shortly due to the potentially negative image it would create. Hence, the name Sharks was adopted taking inspiration from the abundance of sharks in the Pacific Ocean.

With a Presidents’ Trophy win in 2008 and six Division Championships from 2001 to 2010, the San Jose Sharks is a highly celebrated, ice hockey franchise. Over the years, the team has been able to produce several Hall of Famer players including Ed Belfour and Igor Larionov who received induction in 2011 and 2008, respectively. The upcoming games that will present matches between San Jose and the other teams are expected to be held at the SAP Center. Situated in California, the indoor arena was inaugurated back in 1993 for a massive amount of one hundred and sixty three million dollars. Currently owned by City of San Jose, the facility doesn’t only hold ice hockey games but also basketball matches, tennis events, concerts and wrestling showcases.
