The rivalry between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Baylor Bears began in 1901 when the two teams met in Waco. The inaugural game was won by the Sooners, 17-6. Since then the rivals have competed 24 times as of 2014. The one-on-one series is led by the Oklahoma based team with 21 wins.
