William France Sr. was the man behind the formation of NASCAR. He was a stock racing enthusiast and racer. The length of the track is 1.6447 km and the seating capacity is fifty one thousand. The ISM Raceway was previously known as the "Phoenix International Raceway" and "Jeff Gordon Raceway."
