The history of the Kansas Jayhawks Football team goes all the way back to its inception in 1890. Although the University's football program is not as successful as its basketball program, it is still a well-reputed athletic program. Like the basketball team, the Jayhawks football team has also produced some of the finest players of our time. One of them happens to be Hall of Famer and two-time All American and former Chicago Bears player, Gale Sayers.
