The Daytona 500 is remarkable for being the final event of Speedweeks. Its immense greatness is further demonstrated by its titles, the Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing and the Great American Race. The winner of the Daytona 500 is awarded the Harley J. Earl Trophy in Victory Lane. Additionally, the winning car is displayed in its winning condition at the Daytona 500 Experience, a gallery and museum located at the Daytona International Speedway.

The very first Daytona 500, a five-hundred-mile-long race, took place in 1959 at the Daytona International Speedway. This race was a successor to the many smaller races that had taken place before it at Daytona Beach, a legendary and historic place in the world of racing. The first event was known as the First Annual 500 Mile International Sweepstakes, and the name was changed to the Daytona 500 by STP in 1991, and it has remained so to this day.

This spectacular race takes place at Daytona Beach, one of the loveliest beaches in the state of Florida.
