College World Series Tickets

It all started back in 1947 when the very first College World Series was hosted in Michigan. Later on after two successive years of series in Kalamazoo, Michigan the event was then moved to Wichita where George Bush Sr. the former president became the skipper of Yale’s team.  In 1950 for the very first time the College World Series (CWS) was played in Omaha, Nebraska with a record attendance of more than 17,800 people. Omaha has hosted this event ever since 1950 and this year the matchups would comprise of eight regional champions who would then be broken down in two groups of four.

Some of the teams who are being considered as the ‘Deep Sleepers’ of this season are Lobos of New Mexico, Florida Gators, Arizona Wildcats, The Hurricanes of Miami and Texas Longhorn to name just a few. Last year Wildcats faced off with the two time winners of the series, South Carolina Gamecocks and remained triumphant after two exhilarating matches with the defending champs. This year the Gamecocks are on the prowl for revenge and intensely motivated to win back their honor. However, this wouldn’t be an easy task with teams like Longhorn’s and The Hurricanes. The former side has the highest winning ratio of .740 percent in the list of NCAA Division I of college baseball whereas the latter team has four national championships under their belt and has advanced to the regional matches of NCAA for a record number of 40 consecutive times.

The series is scheduled to take place at the TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha. The majestic baseball arena has a seating capacity of around 24000 spectators. The very first CWS game played at this stadium was in 2011 when George Bush Jr. pitched the opening ball for the matchup between North Carolina and Vanderbilt.
