The Chicago Cubs were one of the founding members of the National League (NL) back in 1876. They were known as the Chicago White Stockings at the time. A few more name changes followed towards the end of the 19th century before the franchise owners settled on the Chicago Cubs in 1903.

1907 World Series

1908 World Series

2016 World Series

The Cubs had to wait for over a century for another World Series crown but that made the 2016 victory even sweeter. The team was unstoppable as they won the Division title and the National League pennant before ultimately prevailing over the Cleveland Indians in 7 games to record another great triumph in their history.
