2015 Season:

The Chicago Cubs’ 2015 season was hugely successful. They finished with the 3^rd best record and qualified for the postseason as a wildcard team. The Cubs defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National League Wild Card Game 4-0 and in the process won their first postseason game in twelve years.

An Unwelcome Record:

Despite being the oldest franchise in the league, the Cubs don not have a particularly outstanding record. They have only two World Series titles to their names, which they won in consecutive seasons way back in 1907 and 1908.

The Cubs last made a World Series appearance in 1945 and have not won the World Series in 107 years. This is the longest drought for any professional North American team playing in a major league.
