The differences between the histories of the Arizona Diamondbacks and their upcoming opponents, the New York Yankees, are too many to be highlighted here. New York Yankees

The Yankees were formed in 1901 and for their first twenty years they showed no signs of being the dominant side that they would go on to become. They made it to their first World Series finals in 1923 and repeated the feat five more times in the next seven years, winning it three times. Since then, they have won a total of twenty seven World Series, forty AL Pennants and eighteen division titles.
