His first music experience came as part of the band, Tidus Solan, in 1981. For the next four years, Slash became part of several other music bands including Hollywood Rose, etc. His breakthrough came in 1985, when he joined Guns N’ Roses as the lead guitarist and gained acclaim for songs like Sweet Child O’ Mine and Paradise City. By the time the band released its debut album, Appetite for Destruction, Slash had already become an internationally acclaimed phenomenon and was on his way to super stardom that will continue for decades to come.

The mid-2000s brought Slash back into the limelight as a solo artist. His self-titled debut album came out in 2010 followed by Apocalyptic Love in 2012 and World on Fire in 2014. Slash has been ranked at number sixty-five by the Rolling Stone on ‘The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Times” list and as the runner up by Time on ‘The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players’ list.
