Born in November 1988, Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr. famously known as B.o.B, is a Georgia based hip hop singer and recording artist who puts on an incredible show. Bobby showed keen interest in music from a very young age; he began to play trumpet when he was still attending a primary school. Although his parents wanted Bobby to continue his education but he decided to pursue a career in music.

In April 2010, B.o.B released his first studio album, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray through Rebel Rock Entertainment, Grand Hustle Records and Atlantic Records. The album rocketed to number one on the US Billboard 200 chart as well as on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It also turned out to be a huge commercial success. By selling over five hundred thousand records in the US, the album received a gold certification by the RIAA in December 2010.

The debut album has got twelve singles some of which include Don't Let Me Fall, Nothin’ on You, Magic, Airplanes, Past My Shades and Bet I among others. Its lead single, Nothin' on You has topped the charts in the UK and the US. The epic song, Airplanes has also peaked at number one on the UK charts and number two on the US charts. The single, Magic is B.o.B’s third top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  

Released in May 2012, Strange Clouds is Bobby’s second studio album that has been received favorably by the music critics and fans alike. The album has topped the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and the Rap Albums chart. Not only this, it has also debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 chart. The album is made up of fifteen songs and its chartbusting singles such as Both of Us, So Good and Out of My Mind have opened to great international acclaim.

B.o.B is by far one of the most talented performers who know how to work the crowd. He had won a Soul Train Award for Best Song- Nothin' on You and Teen Choice Award for Hook up Song- Airplanes in 2010. In 2011 alone, B.o.B had received five Grammy nominations in the category of Best Rap Song- Nothin' On You, Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals- Airplanes and Best Rap Album- The Adventures of Bobby Ray, among others. In 2012, he was again nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Album of the Year- Doo-Wops & Hooligans. Other than that, B.o.B has got to his credit three American Music Award nominations, five MTV Video Music Award nominations and six BET Hip Hop Award nominations.
