He toured with the group in Japan, and while in Asia he became part of a Thailand-based blues group for sometime following which he separated from it and took up a journey through India on his own. Upon returning to England, he finally got his big break when he met producer Adamski, whom he gave him the lyrics of the track Killer that became a huge success in 1990. The song marked the first time Seal gained public attention, since it climbed up to the number one spot on UK charts.
The following year he signed with ZTT Records and issued a self-titled debut album, which brought good feedback from critics, while his singles Killer, Crazy and Future Love Paradise did well on charts. It was Crazy in particular that became a big international success, climbing up to second place on UK Singles Chart while taking up to the seventh place on Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
Seal’s rose to stardom within a short time of his debut album’s release and made major headlines at the Brit Awards of the following year held in London at Hammersmith Odeon, where he won three awards in the categories of Best British Album, Best British Male and Best British Video.  The same year he performed at Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium with members of rock group Queen. He performed the 1986 hit called Who Wants to Live Forever on his own, and sang with the rest of the artists in the finale We Are The Champions.
