Stars of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory

The concert version of this famous story is going to have some famous stars of its own. John Stamos will be seen in the role of Willy Wonka, while Finn Wolfhard will play Charlie. Giancarlo Esposito will be playing Candy Man, Richard Kind would be Grandpa Joe and Elle King would be Veruca Salt. Mrs. Bucket with will be played by the talented Ingrid Michaelson and the beloved Oompa Loompas will be played by “Weird Al” Yankovie.

Giancarlo Esposito is known for multiple critically acclaimed roles, including his stint as Gustavo Fring on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. He also won a Critics Choice Television Award for this role and was nominated for an Emmy in 2012. Other credits for him include The Usual Suspects, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man and King of New York.

Richard Kind, the man who will be playing the beloved character of Grandpa Joe has previously starred in sitcoms such as Mad About You and Spin City. He has also been the voice of Bing Bong in Inside Out.

The role of the Golden Ticket holder, Veronica, will be played by Elle King, the 28-year old actress and singer known for her single “Ex’s & Oh’s”, that earned her two Grammy nominations. Ingrid Michaelson, known for her singles “The Way I Am” and “Girls Chase Boys” will be seen in the role of Mrs. Bucket. The oompa loompas, Willy Wonka’s little helpers, will be played by the multi-talented “Weird Al” Yankovic, known for his comedy music and parodies.

Stamos, the star of “Fuller House” on Netflix will render the role of the titular confectioner, the character made famous by the legendary late Gene Wilder in the Warner Bros.’ movie in 1971. Guest stars on the show will include Sandy Cameron, Annabella Lwin and Emily Bear.
