We Will Rock You is a famed London based musical that now celebrates its eleventh year. Celebrating the wonderful music of the Queen, this music has been running successfully in theaters in London. It is coming to the US this season to offer all the band’s a unique showcase of their favorite music and performances live on stage. The musical originally started in collaboration with the renowned band. It was based entirely on a book written by the famed British comedian Ben Elton. The musical had such an amazing plot and soundtrack that it attracted over fifteen million people across the UK. The show has tremendous appeal not just for Queen’s fans but also for theater goers. This small rebel group wanted to fight or music for the revival of the era of Rhapsody. Rhapsody was thought as the thing of the past when music was composed and written originally. The Bohemians await their hero to lead them and rock the world with the power of their music. Cue Galileo Figaro a long haired guitarist and a school dropout becomes the hero, leader and messiah for the Bohemians. He fights with them towards the fate of freedom from resistance of the evil army and a killer Queen who also happens to be the e love interest of Galileo.

Since the inception of this play, many international production houses have recreated it for their audiences. Moreover, the musical has been seen in five continents of the world, telling how big a success it is. The musical has an exceptional story and script that is loaded with one-liner humorous dialogues and of course the legendary songs form the 60s and the 70s. The show celebrated its 4000 performances last year that made Bohemian Rhapsody No.1 the favorite single of the nation. Furthermore, the play is a multi-award winner and a record breaking play. It is featured as the longest running musical breaking following Grease. The musical is also the proud winner of the Audience Award for Most Popular Show in the Olivier Awards (2011).

Currently, Ben Elton himself is directing the musical. Brian May and Roger Taylor are the music supervisors. Their work is being choreography by Arlene Phillips. The cast of the musical includes seasoned theater artists like Oliver Tompsett playing Galileo, Brenda Edwards as the killer Queen and Rachael Wooding as the Scaramouche. The vocals and choreography of the play has been highly praised and said to be outstanding.
