The Mahaffey Theater hosted the first museum type of an exhibition of the largely famous Titanic The Artifact Exhibition. The Centennial exhibition featured some of the greatest artifacts that have never been seen before in the area of Tampa Bay. The show ran from the 6th of October 2012  till the 3rd of March in 2013.

Even though the exhibition itself was one of the most dazzling aspects of the event, yet the organizers as well as the management behind the event left no area gray. Those who attended the event received a replica of the original boarding pass of the historic ship which will allowed them the permit to "board" onto the White Star Line’s famous R.M.S Titanic.

Titanic The Artifact Exhibition featured galleries that had prime focus on the historic Titanic’s captivating and gripping tales of the real people who were on the ship that sunk tragically a 100 years back. The tales have been told through the original artifacts that were found at the place of the wreckage of the ship and had been taken from the floor of the ocean and some of the broad room re-creations.One also got to see the logo of the White Star Line which had been etched in China and also some pieces of the original ship. Along with these, you will be able to see many other artifacts that are all original and give some haunting feelings that one can associate with those who died when the ship sunk taking down with it lives that came to an end abruptly.

On the second floor of The Mahaffey one got to to witness many more galleries that featured acpects of the construction of the ship, to the list of passengers, the famous iceberg that changed the course of history and some memorial galleries. There were some added areas within the exhibition that state warnings for iceberg along with a few lifeboat loading portfolios. All of this was covered at length by a stunning audio at the venue which made this visit  truly unforgettable. There were times when you got the haunting feeling of being a part of the ship along with its passengers and crew.

Historically, on the 15th of April in 1912, one of the worlds largest built ocean liner called as Titanic unfortunately sank after it collided with an iceberg merely five days after setting onto its anticipated journey. The disaster that took place at the sea claimed over 1500 lives and literally jolted people all across the globe. Today, there are over 5500 original artifacts which also comprise some fine porcelain eating dishes as well as a seventeen ton segment of the hull all of which have been recovered while some research expeditions that took place when the ship was found in 1985.

Titanic The Artifact Exhibition featured 200 artifacts that were all authentic. They had a story to tell about the journey of Titanic and the ultimate end of it. The event provided insight on the ship from the time it was constructed to the time destruction came upon it and finally the recovery of the ship which took place after 73 years after its sinking.

It did not come as a surprise that Titanic The Artifact Exhibition tickets were sold within a matter of few days.
