All set to celebrate her 83rd birthday soon, Tina Turner wrote her own history in the music world. Belonging to a very humble background, Tina is a self-made artist who caught the attention of the talent scout, musician, and bandleader, Ike Turner, who also later became her husband. Ike has been credited as one of the pioneers of rock 'n' roll in the early 1950s and he nurtured Tina's talent, especially when it came to controlling her vocal range. Tina started her professional journey with Ike in late 1950s and treated the fans to her first hit song, "A Fool in Love". She followed with more R&B hits that included "I Idolize You", "Poor Fool", and "Tra La La La La". In 1974, Tina Turner embarked on her solo career and came out with the album "Tina Turns the Country On!". The diva released many more albums, her last one hitting the shelves in 1999 titled "Twenty Four Seven". The world of theater pays tribute to her extraordinary work and talent in the form of the award-winning musical, TINA: The Tina Turner Musical.

From her breakthrough to success, to her abusive marriage with Ike Turner, and eventually her triumphant comeback in 2008 with a performance at the Grammy Awards, the musical hits home with its execution. The creative team does a spectacular job of covering all the songs that played an important role in Tina Turner's career. Costume and scenic design by Mark Thompson create a dazzling spectacle.

TINA Musical North American Tour 2022-2023

On popular demand, the musical has hit the road on a North American tour with performances scheduled until August 2023. The tour features an ensemble cast, with the role of Tina played by two performers; Naomi Rodgers and Zurin Villanueva. Both actresses do a brilliant job and their vocal range as Tina is spectacular.
