The story

The current tour features Kerstin Anderson in the key role of Maria Rainer, and Anderson gets it just right. A charismatic personality that matches her beautiful voice, she gets into the character of Rainer, bringing to stage her spark and vulnerability. Ben Davis as the Captain gives a strong performance, especially in the scene that captures his sadness for leaving his country to escape military duties.
