Ranked at the fifth spot on TV Guide’s list of the, ’60 Greatest Game Shows Ever,’ The Price is Right is created by Bob Stewart who has produced famous shows like, ‘Pyramid,’ ‘Double Talk’ and ‘Jackpot!’ The show premiered on NBC in 1956 and was produced by Bill Todman and Mark Goodson. Bill Cullen was hired as the first host of the show. In 1972, it got revamped and Bob Baker took over hosting responsibilities. He continued to host the show till 2007.

Today, The Price is Right is owned and produced by FremantleMedia. It is currently being hosted by the popular comedian, actor and sports executive, Drew Carey.
