A revolutionary game show

The Price is Right is an ultimate game show which was created by Bob Stewart who is known for producing many other shows including, 'Shoot for the Stars,' 'Double Talk' and 'The Face is Familiar.' It was originally produced by the duo of Mark Goodson and Bill Todman. It premiered on NBC in the year 1956 and was hosted by an American radio and television personality Bill Cullen. The show then got revamped in 1972 and soon, Bob Barker took over the hosting responsibility who continued to be a part of this spectacle till 2007.

The Price is Right is currently being hosted by Drew Carey. Due to the show's popularity, it is presented in different parts of the world including, Argentina, Bulgaria, China, Portugal, Thailand and Vietnam.  

How the show works

The format of The Price is Right is quite simple. At the show, contestants are selected at random who are asked to guess the price of various products. If they do so correctly, they will earn money. Also, some of the lucky audience members can also win cool prizes by playing games such as The Big Wheel, The Fabulous Showcase and Cliffhangers.
