The choreography of the famous ballet has been done by Christopher Wheeldon – an English choreographer of contemporary ballet, known for his works such as Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, After the Rain, The Nightingale and the Rose and many others. He has won several awards, including the London Critics’ Circle Award, the American Choreography Award and an Olivier Award.

Combining the choreography of Wheeldon with the timeless music from Tchaikovsky, The Nutcracker is a masterpiece in itself. He is widely regarded as the most popular Russian composer in history and has also composed the music for The Sleeping Beauty. Even though he lived between 1840 and 1893, his work still continues to inspire millions across the globe.
