The Miracle Worker's story revolves around Helen Keller's inspirational life story. As the play opens, we see Keller as an extremely violent child as being blind, dumb and deaf; she doesn't know any way to express herself. Keller is six years old and her attitude is aggressive and destructive. Her parents finally decide to hire a governess for her. They find Anne Sullivan who is also partially blind, but fully trained to teach the blind kids. Sullivan faces extremely exhausting time with spoiled Keller in the beginning and demands to be alone with Keller for two weeks. In these two weeks, Sullivan manages to calm Helen down and bashes her violent attitude.

The Miracle Worker has won multiple awards including 4 Tony Awards, 1 Theatre World Award and several nominations. The current cast of the play is perhaps the most cherished bunch of critically acclaimed actors. The plot of the story that stands out, and the actors wonderfully pay a tribute to legends that Anne Sullivan and Helen Keller are. One particular scene where Anne writes water on Helen's hand and she pronounces "wah-wah" has always received thunderous applause from the audience.
