The Outstanding Production Sherlock Holmes Kicks Off North American Tour

The legendary Sherlock Holmes gets a new face yet again. Some of the top actors all over the world have played this famous character and this time David Arquette has taken up the role in the Broadway production Sherlock Holmes – A New Theatrical Adventure. The original production enjoyed a sold out run at The Segal Centre in Montreal in 2013 and took home Montreal English Theatre Awards in the “Outstanding Play” and “Best Director” categories. Hailing from Canada, Andrew Shaver is considered among the most talented and exciting directors and he showed his incredible vision while directing Sherlock Holmes. Along with the writer Greg Kramer who tragically passed away on the eve of the rehearsals, Shaver also brought in his kinesthetic and ironic approach to the script.

After winning in five categories at the Montreal English Theatre Awards, the production has been remounted for a North American run and LA will hold the first six preview performances. The touring production will later stop in Toronto, Washington and Chicago and after witnessing great demand of Sherlock Holmes tickets, additional cities have been announced for 2016.

Starvox Entertainment Collaborates with June Entertainment to Present Sherlock Holmes

Corey Ross founded Starvox Entertainment in 2005 and since then the company has strived towards providing quality theater and crossover performing arts shows. Along with June Entertainment, the production is ready to celebrate all things Sherlock but with a touch of humor. According to Ross, “this production’s frequent laugh-out-loud moments, melodramatic mysteries and sometimes nightmarish moments proved irresistible, and I knew within ten-minutes of the curtain going up that I wanted to produce the show for an extended commercial life after Montreal”. A certain modern edge has been given to the show and it’s achieved through contemporary set design and costumes. The audience will get to enjoy current political culture and events, while there will also be some timeless scenarios.

David Arquette is especially thrilled to play one of the beloved characters and he stated, “I am beyond excited to play one of the most loved characters in all literature, stage and screen”. According to the actor many people believed that he was an odd choice but Sherlock Holmes was also odd, so it seems a perfect fit.  Don’t miss the theatrical adventure this season and since it’s a family friendly show, you can take the entire gang with you.
