Savion claims that his style is funk and young. Once he was asked to explain the meaning of funk and he said that anything that gets an individual's mind on beat is funk. Gregory Hines, a great tap legend and once Glover's instructor, claims that, 'Savion is possibly the best tap dancer that ever lived.' Savor loves starting his work with a few old moves that he learned from popular tappers subsequently working on his own style. Hines says that he feels like it is paying homage to the people he respects and looks up to. He performed at the memorial service of Honi Coles, and ended the dance with a popular Cole's move of flipping backwards. Hines rarely uses this move because this is not what his style is. He did that for Coles, just for the sake of keeping his style alive. Savion is so much into his work that he feels it as his responsibility to maintain the dance and keep it alive while retaining its style. He has been called a sponge by Henry Le Tang for learning very fast everything that is taught to him. Le Tang has been an instructor for the Hines brothers in 1950s and taught Savion for some time prior to having him employed for 'Black And Blue' in 1987, which is a tap variety show in Paris. Glover is known to be the future of tap dancing.

Glover went to HooFeRzCLuB School for Tap Newark, to train in tap dancing and learned every move, step, and created some real tap skills as was taught at the age of fourteen. Savion says that he has a mission to regain the lost rhythm once tap dance was used after several generations.

Glover has heavy feet for tap and dances loud and hard in each step. He also instructs his mentees to hit, as 'Hitting' is referred to an individual's capability to express himself in order to complete the sequence of tap. If one cannot express one's self, one can never hit, is what Glover believes in. As a devoted teacher, he wants his mentees to learn each and every bit of tap while adopting a unique style of their own and he is always very interested in seeing what his students have learned. He enjoys seeing true passion in his students and how they feel about it.
