Paw patrol is a brainchild of Keith Chapman, who created the popular television series in 2013. After its massive success, the stage show based on the series was first staged in October 2016 in Evansville, Indiana.

Animated Show

The animated version of the show is based on the adventures of a boy named Ryder and his pack of dogs. Ryder and his rescue dogs are known as the Paw Patrol and they work exclusively in the fictional area of Adventure Bay.

Each of his dogs has a particular skill set, which is based on actual law enforcement agencies and real life rescue teams. For example, Marshall the dog is a firefighter while Chase has the same responsibilities as a policeman. The team lives in various doghouses which have the ability to transform into customized vehicles when the case requires it. The team also carries “pup packs”, which are backpacks with essential tools in them.

The stage version of the show was announced in April 2016. The producers knew how popular the television show had become and felt that a touring stage production would give fans a very different experience of the show. The initial response to the show was overwhelmingly positive and a world tour was announced. The production will tour North America, Mexico and Australia.
