Nosferatu The Movie Tickets
Nosferatu is a classic German Expressionist scary movie of 1922 with F.W. Marnau as a director and Max Shrek playing a vampire, named Count Orlok. The shooting for the film began in 1921 and was released in 1922. The film was an unofficial version of Dracula by Bram Stoker. However, the names were changed as the studio was not able to gain the rights to the book. So, in the movie vampire was given the name as Nosferatu and Count Orlok was titled as Count Dracula.
Nosferatu has the same story as of Dracula and maintains its core characters, Mina, Harker, and Jonathan. Some few changes were also made such as setting was transferred in the time period of 1838 to Germany instead of Britain in 1890. Also in Dracula, he turns humans into vampires, whereas Orlok on the contrary does not do that. However, he executes his victims by quenching his thirst with their blood. He sleeps during the day time just as other vampires as the sunlight will kill him.
The storyline of the film begins when an estate agent based out of Germany sends Hutter, his associate, to the castle of Count Orlok in Transylvania because the Count wishes to reside in Wisbourg. The estate agent and Hutter plan to sell him the house that was across Hutter's home. Leaving his wife Ellen, Hutter moves on with a few friends. Though locals did not want the house to be sold to the count as they complained about some unusual occurrences, Hutter sold it anyways. However, he as well starts noticing and feeling strange movements in the house, which include hanging of a dark shadow. He can feel it even during the day when the Count is asleep. Discovering the sleeping chamber of the Count, which was in a crypt, Hutter gets sure of the fact that the Count is a vampire. And Hutter is now trapped in the fortress. The conclusion of this movie is somewhat different than Dracula's. The shots taken on ship were everyone's favorite and simply remarkable, where the team members got sick and eventually died. A courageous fellow goes down to open a coffin and as soon as he did that, Count Orlok rose straight up, firm and eerie. Hans Erdmann composed the original score of the film out of which most of his work was lost. Many musicians and composers have scripted a soundtrack of their own, to go with the movie. For instance, James Bernard, is the composer of several Hammer horror movies' soundtracks from late fifties throughout sixties. These films include Frankenstein series and Dracula. A French composer named Alexis Savelief, in 2006 worked on the piece of music for Nosferatu - A Symphony of Horror. The composition is flawlessly synchronized during the entire movie.
On 2009's Halloween, an American movie featuring a band called The Rats & People Motion Picture Orchestra premiered the latest achievement for Nosferatu. Eric J. Schwartz, a music composer was commissioned by The Mallarme Chamber Players of North Carolina to compose a new music to perform live.
The film has not only obtained a strong fan following, but also received positive feedback from the viewers. The movie was positioned 21st in 'The 100 Best Films of World Cinema' of the magazine, Empire in 2010. It has been liked by the audience ever since it first came out and is still running with effect.
