A Hit Musical

Mean Girls is a creative masterpiece by the composer Jeff Richmond (30 Rock), book writer Tina Fey (30 Rock) and lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde). Based on the MTV Movie Award winning film of the same name, the musical debuted at the National Theatre in Washington on October 31, 2017. It ran there for four days till December 3, 2017. It was then announced that the show will be receiving its Broadway premier in 2018 and on April 8th, the musical was staged at the August Wilson Theatre. It was directed by Casey Nicholaw who has previously worked in 'The Book of Mormon' and 'Aladdin.' The show featured Taylor Louderman as Regina George, Erika Henningsen as Cady Heron, Kate Rockwell as Karen Smith and Barrett Wilbert Weed as Janis Sarkisian.   

The Broadway production of Mean Girls was nominated for multiple Tony Awards including three for, 'Best Original Score,' 'Best Book of a Musical' and 'Best Musical.' It also earned praises from publications like, USA Today and Vogue.
