Les Miserable is a musical that premiered back in 1980. It was originally in French and was composed by Claude-Michel Schonberg and the libretto, also in French was written by Alain Boubil. The English language adaptation is the one that has been seen more however. The libretto in English is by Herbert Kretzmer. The first English production was seen back in 1985 and in January 2010, the show played its 10, 000th performance in London's West End. Even today, the Queen's Theater hosts the musical.
