The story of the ‘Little Mermaid’ has not failed to charm kids since years. This book has been famous through countless generations and has never ever failed to impress the audience, younger lot in particular. This thrilling story revolves around a mermaid and a prince. In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the stunning young mermaid Ariel yearns to get rid of her ocean abode to live in the world above. In order to do this, first she will have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, as well as convince Prince Eric that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice.

Adapted from Disney’s 2008 Broadway production, Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr, the show features the hit songs "Part of Your World," "She’s in Love," and the Oscar-winning "Under the Sea." All these songs will take you to the magical kingdom yourselves!

This stage musical was produced by Disney Theatrical, and revolved around the animated 1989 Disney film of the same name as well as the legendary tale of ‘The Little Mermaid’ by Hans Christian Andersen. The book of the musical is by Doug Wright, the music is by Alan Menken and the lyrics are by Howard Ashman (written for the film). The new lyrics are provided by Glenn Slator and he has certainly done an outstanding job at that.

Initially, this musical had a pre-Broadway performance in Denver, Colorado in July all the way through the beginning of September 2007, with Broadway previews beginning in November 2007 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Before, this was the home of Disney Theatrical's ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ which was shut down in July 2007 to pave the way for the new production. With Disney all ready to start the show at the time, it was assumed that the presence of two Disney icons on Broadway during the same time would result in the division of audiences and lead to competition between the two popular shows. Therefore, the official opening of ‘The Little Mermaid’ took place on January 10, 2008 and later closed in August 2009 after 685 performances as well as fifty previews.

Chelsea Morgan Stock as Ariel, Faith Prince as Ursula, Drew Seeley as Price Eric, Norm Lewis as King Triton, Rogelio Douglas Jr. as Sebastian and Major Curda and Brian D'Addario as Flounder will mesmerize you all with their impeccable acting.
