Disney On Ice

Disney On Ice traces its history back to the year 1979 when Mattel bought Holidays on Ice. Mattel then got in touch with the world famous Disney and proposed an idea of a show on ice. The idea was accepted, and Feld Productions got the production rights, with production getting underway in 1981 as Walt Disney's World on Ice.

Next year, Walt Disney's World on Ice was bought back by Kenneth and Irvin Feld, the original owners of Feld Production, from Mattel. The show broke new ground in 1987 as it made its international debut with the show Happy Birthday Donald. In 1998, the production’s name was changed to Disney On Ice, and from 2008 onwards, a new show has debuted every year.

Let’s Celebrate

Disney On Ice shows are mostly hosted by Mickey Mouse who is joined by Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Let’s Celebrate is no different. Let’s Celebrate debuted in 1999 and then returned in 2021. It features fifty Disney characters representing fourteen different productions.

The PPG Paints Arena

The PPG Paints Arena is one of the most famous indoor arenas in the US. The venue is home to the famous Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League and has played host to some memorable sports, music, and theatrical events. The venue opened on August 18, 2010 with a concert by the iconic Paul McCartney. That concert was such a big hit that the tickets were sold out in just five minutes.

The PPG Paints Arena played host to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in the year 2016. The Penguins came out on top against the Sharks to clinch their fifth Stanley Cup title.
