Come From Away – A Tale of Compassion

Come From Away tells the remarkable story of how 7,000 stranded passengers were welcomed into a small town in Newfoundland after the 9/11 terror attacks caused multiple planes to be rerouted to Gander. The small town stepped up in a big way and opened its homes to these strangers, without much knowledge of what had just happened. 38 planes were forced to land in Gander, almost doubling the population of the town overnight. Their simple hospitality is the inspiration behind this Broadway musical.

About the Musical

Come From Away is directed by the Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley, with music from Tony nominee Kelly Devine and supervision by Grammy nominee Ian Eisendrath. The scenic design has been taken care of by Toni-Leslie James, with lighting design by Howell Binkley. The touring production of Come From Away will feature several stars, including Kevin Carolan, Harter Clingman, Nick Duckart, Becky Gulsvig and many more.
