The Tale of A Christmas Carol

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is one of the most enduring holiday tales of all time. This is a story of Ebenezer Scrooge.

On a Christmas Eve in London, audience find Ebenezer Scrooge, a stingy aging business, sitting in his office counting his money. He receives a visit from solicitors who ask him for a donation for the poor. His response is that the only place for the poor is prison or death.

That night, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who tells him if he doesn’t change his ways, he’ll be condemned to wear heavy chains for the rest of eternity.

Throughout the night, Scrooge is visited by three ghosts: the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.

The Ghost of Christmas past takes him back to the days of his youth, when Christmas was full of joy and merriment. The Ghost of Christmas Present shows him being alone while everyone else is enjoying the celebrations. The Ghost of Christmas Future then offers him a glimpse of a world without him, when no one will care that he is dead and gone.

Will these visits from the Ghosts of Christmas be enough to make Scrooge change his ways?
