The premiere

Aladdin is the creation of four individuals, Alan Menken, Tim Rice, Howard Ashman and Chad Beguelin. Based on the Disney animated film of the same name, the show made its debut at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle and casted Adam Jacobs and Courtney Reed as Aladdin and Jasmine respectively. The musical received warm response from theatergoers which encouraged the creators of the show to stage it in different cities including, Ivins, St. Louis and Manila.

Aladdin made its Broadway debut on February 26, 2014 and was performed at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City. The show generated a lot of buzz and became a major hit across the nation and beyond.
