Syracuse Chiefs Tickets

Founded in 1934, Syracuse Chiefs is a New York based baseball team that is a member of the International League and also a Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Some of the talented baseball professionals of the team include Ron Gersbacher, John Simone, Tex Simone and Bob Snyder who have also been inducted into the Syracuse Baseball Wall of Fame. The Syracuse Chiefs team has remained a Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays from 1978 to 2008 and has set a record of the longest running affiliation in the team’s history.  However, in 2008, the team broke its deal with the Blue Jays and signed a two year deal with the Washington Nationals.

The minor league baseball team plays its home games at the NBT Bank Stadium that is located in the downtown Syracuse. Formerly known as the P&C Stadium, the NBT Stadium has the capacity to house nearly eleven thousand people. The facility opened its doors to the minor league baseball enthusiasts in April 1997. The stadium offers reasonably comfortable seating arrangement to the audience because it also has exclusive luxury suites and a banquet room apart from the normal seating arrangement. The luxury suites are available in three different configurations that offer catering as well as indoor and outdoor seating options. You can choose the left field side if you prefer shade or the right field side if you prefer sun.

The city of Syracuse has always shown its presence in the professional baseball since 1877 especially when the Syracuse Stars battled in the League Alliance. The Stars have competed in two major league versions including the 1879 National League and the 1890 American Association. The baseball team has also played for minor leagues including the Eastern League and the New York State League. However, in 1917, the team became a member of the International League and remained with it until 1927 because in 1928, the IL franchise moved to Montreal.

When the International League's Jersey City Skeeters moved to Syracuse in 1934, the franchise was renamed as The Chiefs. The minor league baseball team continued to play as a member of the International League until it was sold and shifted to Miami in 1956. The Chiefs played for the Class A Eastern League during the 1956–57 season but then moved to Pennsylvania in July 1957. Since the Royals franchise was abandoned by its owners, Syracuse did not show up for the baseball games until 1961. However, the Chiefs took on a fresh beginning later in 1961 and have played regularly since then.  The team was renamed as the SkyChiefs in 1997 but reverted back to its original name shortly afterwards.

All Chiefs matches can be heard on a national scale on Syracusechiefs.com as well as on Android and Itune applications of smart phones. Moreover, these games are also broadcasted on the MILB.TV as well as on the Time Warner Cable SportsNet.  The Syracuse Chiefs feel proud to give back to their community that has shown utmost support for the team over the years. It works proudly with the sponsoring partners including Morgan Stanley, Alliance Bank, Kmart, March of Dimes and a dozen more to work for the betterment of the New York community.

The air is filled with all the tension and suspense because nobody knows how the match would conclude.
