The Rangers were formed in 1961 in Washington DC. The year was 1960 when the Washington Senators upped sticks and relocated to Minnesota to become the Minnesota Twins. The team then moved to Texas in 1971 to become the Texas Rangers. It took them a little while to get going in the new city and won their first division title in 1996. They clinched division championships in 1998 and 1999. Their form faltered after that and they returned to form in 2010 by doing the division and pennant double that year. The trick was repeated in 2011 before they won another division crown in 2015.
