The beginning of 2000 marked a breakthrough in the world of sports for women basketball with the introduction of a new team Seattle Storm. The team has been professionally representing Western Conference of the Women National Basket Ball Association for the game since inception and now the experience has spanned for over a decade. The extraordinarily skilled players have always been a pride for the team, qualifying it for eight WNBA Playoff seasons out of the eleven years tenure of the team. Seattle Storm traces back its origin from the predecessor Seattle Reign. This ancestral team reigned for about two years as a member of the American Basket Ball League and was shortly awarded with a WNBA franchise. Seattle Storm took charge for the game two years later and made its first appearance for the game in 2000. Its start wasn’t as strong as anticipated for other successful teams. The season was characterized with a record of 6-26.
