The history and origin of the club dates back to the time when the academics and students of the Institucion libre de ensenanza, used to play football as a game on Sunday mornings at Mancola. They founded the Foot-Ball Club Sky in 1897. In the 1900, the Club split into Football de Madrid and Club Espanol de Madrid, the latter splitting up again on 6 March, 1902 .Thus, it resulted in the formation of Real Madrid Football Club.
