Formed in 1970, the Portland Trail Blazers are owned by Paul Allen whereas Neil Olshey is their current General Manager. Since their inception, they have won 3 Conference titles, 4 Division titles and 1 Championship. Idaho Stampede is their D-league affiliate. The Memorial Coliseum in Portland remained the home ground of the Blazers from the year 1970 till 1995 and from 1996 onwards, they started playing their home games at the Moda Center, which is also known as the Rose Garden. The name of the field was changed to the Moda Center from Rose Garden in August 2013. Several basketball fans criticized this move.

The present home venue of the Portland Trail Blazers can accommodate a crowd of approximately 19,980 people. The Global Spectrum is responsible for the venue’s maintenance. Bill Walton, Clyde Drexler, Arvydas Sabonis, Lenny Wilkens, Drazen Petrovic and Scottie Pippen are the team’s Basketball Hall of the Famers. In addition to that, Jack Ramsay and Lenny Wilkens, who are their former coaches, are also among the Hall of Famers.
