The formation of PBR

The sport of rodeo was slowly dying during the '90s which worried 20 cowboys who wanted it to thrive. So, in order to bring it back to mainstream, they decided to contribute $1,000 each and formed a body which was later known to be as Professional Bull Riders. Based in Pueblo, Colorado, the guys started things off by announcing PBR's inaugural tour, Bud Light Cup Series which ran from 1994 to 2002. It quickly became the elite series of the PBR and was broadcasted on TNN.

Today, Professional Bull Riders has become the premier bull riding companies in the world that employs over 600 cowboys from different parts of the world including, the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Canada and Australia. These riders compete in over 300 televised events which are aired on CBS Sports Network and CBS.
