All About the New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints were set up in 1966 in a joint effort by businessmen David Dixon and John W. Mecom Jr. along with the city of New Orleans. They made their NFL debut the following year as an expansion franchise.

The Tulane Stadium served as the Saints’ first home. It continued to be the case until the end of the 1974 NFL campaign. Before the start of the 1975 NFL regular season, the side from the Crescent City moved to the Louisiana Superdome. This popular place is today known as the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
