The Los Angeles Rams were set up in 1936 in Cleveland as the “Cleveland Rams.” They were part of the newly-created American Football League (AFL) which would go on to merge with the NFL in 1970. However, after just one season in the AFL, the Rams switched allegiances to move to the NFL.

In 1946, the franchise relocated to Los Angeles. This move came after the Rams triumphed in the 1945 NFL Championship victory. To date, they remain the only champion side to play the following season in a different city.The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum served as their first home arena in LA.

Super Bowl and More Re-Locations

The Rams continued to play in Los Angeles until 1994, at which point they relocated to St. Louis. Five years later, the St. Louis Rams won their maiden Super Bowl crown after getting the better of the Tennessee Titans. After two decades in St. Louis, the Rams moved back to Los Angeles before the start of the 2016 NFL regular season.

In total, the Rams have been to the big game four times. Their most recent appearance was at Super Bowl LIII. Other honors for the side from La-La Land include 20 Division titles and 7 Conference crowns. They also won the old NFL Championship twice during the pre-merger era.
