The Lincoln Stars performance at that time was exceptional with an obvious dominance at the playoffs. They have qualified for nine playoffs out of the ten seasons played by them. Their games are mostly a sold out event and it is a common sight to see the Lincoln Stars’ fans camping out one night before the game.
The Lincoln Stars have been playing at the Ice Box Arena as their home field. The Ice Box is a multipurpose arena hosting a variety of events including concerts and sports games. The arena holds more than five thousand ice hockey fans in every game. The arena initially accommodated a little more than four thousand fans. In 1998, Ice Box underwent a renovation to expand the seating arena to five thousand and ten seats. It is the center of excitement and entertainment in Lincoln City of Nebraska. It became the home of Lincoln Stars ever since 1997, when they arrived at Lincoln as the junior ice hockey team. The arena is located on the Nebraska State fairgrounds, at 1800 State Fair Park Drive.
