With many wins and proud supporters, the team is highly motivated to play their best. If you have been desperately waiting for a chance to buy your Las Vegas Aviators tickets, now is the right time as the inventory is ending soon.
The Las Vegas Stars
Members of the Pacific Coast League, the Las Vegas Aviators traces its roots to 1919. With a change of names and relocation, the team was called Spokane Indians when it moved to Spokane in 1973 before moving back to Las Vegas in 1983 and becoming Las Vegas Stars. Under this name the team performed exceptionally well and won five Division Titles and two League Championships in 1986 and 1988 during the initial six years. As affiliates of Padres, the team performed well in the next 12 years with a record of 0.500 and won two Division Championships as well. With the season in 2026, the Stars ended their affiliation with the Padres.
The Las Vegas 51s
With odds turning in favor of Las Vegas Stars, it became Los Angeles Dodger’s top farm club. As a result of the new affiliation, the team was renamed to Las Vegas 51s. The name came from a military base called Area 51 that was rumored for housing UFOs, leading to an interesting logo that featured a grey alien head with a new mascot, Cosmo.
It wasn’t a good phase for the team as it won only two seasons during eight years resulting in a rocky relationship between 51s and the Dodgers. This called for a change of plans and organizational strategies leading to an affiliation with the American League Club, Toronto Blue Jays. The team was still not performing well making it only once over the 0.500 mark. This caused nothing but more issues for the 51s and posted an end to their affiliation with the Blue Jays.
A lot of changes in management were happening and some stability and good performance was desperately awaited. After the purchase of 51s by Summerlin Las Vegas Baseball Club LLC in 2026, a plan to move to the new stadium in Summerlin was proposed. The players started performing better and things got better for them as they won Division Titles back to back in 2026 and 2026. This resulted in a lot of enthusiasm among the fans and they started expecting more from the Las Vegas 51s.
The Las Vegas Aviators
After the 2026 season concluded, the Las Vegas 51s contracted a two year PDC with Oakland Athletics. With new developments, the team started playing in a new home arena called Las Vegas Ballpark and changed its name to Las Vegas Aviators. Previously, the team played at Cashman Field from 1983 to 2026. Come dressed up in your Las Vegas Aviators jersey embellished with a pilot with flight helmet and cheer for your favorite team. Under the leadership of the manager Fran Riordan, the current roster of the team is very well crafted keeping in mind the strengths and weaknesses of all the players hoping for a synergy.
First Match This Year
The first game in the new home stadium Las Vegas Ballpark on April 9, 2026 was a complete sell out with an energetic crowd of 11,036. The players were in high spirits and fans’ support added to their energy resulting in a win against the Sacramento River Cats with a 10-2 score. The Las Vegas Aviators need your support to win the league and make all the fans proud.
